What This Policy Covers
This policy sets out how our desktop software, our licence and update server, our services and this website may be used. It applies to everyone who buys a licence from OptoSoftechs Pvt. Ltd. (‘OptoSoftechs’, ‘we’, ‘us’) or visits this website. It forms part of our Terms of Service. If the two ever differ, the Terms of Service take priority.
In short: use our software and website lawfully, stay within the limits of your licence, and do not try to harm our systems or other people.
1. Using the Software
You may use the software for the internal purposes of your business, within the limits of your licence. In particular, please do not:
- share or publish your licence key, or use it on more computers than your licence covers
- crack, bypass or tamper with the licence check, or pass on modified copies of the software
- rent the software out or offer it to others as a hosted or managed service
- use the software to create false or backdated invoices, to alter or delete records you are legally required to keep, or otherwise to mislead tax authorities, customers or business partners
- use the software for any purpose that is against the law
2. Your Customers’ and Employees’ Data
When you store personal data in the software – for example details of your customers, suppliers or staff – you are responsible for handling that data lawfully, in particular under the GDPR. This includes having a legal basis for storing it, keeping it secure on your own computers and deleting it when it is no longer needed. We have no access to this data.
3. Our Licence and Update Server
The software contacts our server to activate licences and check for updates. Please:
- connect to our server only through the software itself or the pages we provide for managing your licence
- do not overload the server, scan it for weaknesses or try to access other customers’ licence information
- do not try to generate, guess or collect licence keys
4. Our Services
If we carry out services for you, such as setup, consulting or project work, you give us access only to the systems and information we need for the agreed work, and only where you are entitled to do so. Please do not ask us to access, test or change systems that do not belong to you, or that you have no permission to authorise.
5. This Website
You are welcome to use this website to learn about our products and services and to contact or order from us. Please do not:
- send spam, advertising or automated submissions through our forms
- enter false details in order or withdrawal forms, or place orders in another person’s name
- attack, scan or try to break into the website or its servers
- copy large parts of the website by automated means
- upload or send malicious code
6. If This Policy Is Not Followed
We will respond in proportion to how serious the problem is. Depending on the situation, we may ask you to stop, block the affected licence key (see Section 13 of our Terms of Service), block access to this website or our server, or take legal steps. Where appropriate, we will contact you first and give you the chance to put things right. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
7. Reporting Misuse or Security Issues
If you notice misuse – for example a licence key published online – or a possible security weakness in our software, server or website, please let us know at contact@optosoftechs.com. We treat such reports confidentially and are grateful for them. Please do not access, change or share any data beyond what is needed to show us the problem.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy if our products, services or the law change. The current version is always published on this page, and earlier versions remain available through the version history.
